Title: I found a mini-set under the Burning Ship! Part 2
Post by: greentexas on November 12, 2016, 12:21:28 AM
There are mini Burning Ships in the Perpendicular Mandelbrot! I zoomed near a mini-Heart in the Perpendicular Mandelbrot, and got the Burning Ship. This means there are theoretically Celtics and Celtic Mandelbars in the Perpendicular Mandelbrot, because the mini-Burning Ships have Celtics and Celtic Mandelbars.

Here's the location for the Burning Ship in the Perpendicular Mandelbrot:

Real: -1.465562034892488078739165476769120846951742924096587540886648662627744234990872820011236824252351713166072567983856624274169734972337998635845537086310351376850997429233047545644212685778092737146959362814841190063722494025865

This could also mean there are similar fractals in the Perpendicular Burning Ship. I would think so, because it is easy to find Hearts in the Perpendicular Burning Ship, and Hearts have Burning Ships.

Here is a very rough percentage of the chance that an attempt to zoom into a mini-Heart in the Perpendicular Mandelbrot has a Burning Ship, assuming zoom depth from 1e100 to 1e200. (Very sadly, because of an extremely low sample size and varying depths, this is not accurate.)

I am 95% confident that somewhere from 5% to 75% of the attempts to find Burning Ships in the Perpendicular Mandelbrot succeed.

Further zooming may give closer estimations.
