Title: Can somebody explain 3D fractals?
Post by: greentexas on November 08, 2016, 06:27:03 PM
I know quite a bit about 2-D escape time fractals. They make total sense to me, but I never understood what creates a 3D fractal?

Can someone explain to me how a 3D fractal is created? I do not mean fractals like the Menger Sponge, Jerusalem Cube, or 3-D Cantor Dust, which are simple to create.

Syntopia's blog series covers loads of good stuff: http://blog.hvidtfeldts.net/index.php/2011/06/distance-estimated-3d-fractals-part-i/
