Title: 360° VR Descent into Fractal Core - Mandelbulb 3D fractal animation UltraHD 4K Post by: schizo on November 05, 2016, 09:25:48 PM Hello Friends of Order and Chaos,
a YouTube user had the desire for a 360° VR version of my "Decent into Fractal Core" Mandelbulb 3D flight. It is an Amazing Box (Mandelbox) / Menger / Amazing Box hybrid and had a good structure for the 360° view. So I started my engine and reengineered the complete animation and also made it longer. At the end I had two cool music tracks that fit quite well with the animation and I could't decide which one I should use. So I manipulated all images (raising saturation and contrast). Then I had the original dark version and a more colorful light version. Because I always also like the 4K flat versions of the animations I also released them so I ended up with a 360° + a 4K light version and a 360° + a 4K dark version. Turn on 4K resolution if possible to get rid of some of the compression artefacts! Cool: the forum embedded player now also plays 360° content 360° Light Version https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qm8pcI_-vzM Code: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qm8pcI_-vzM 360° Dark Version https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJFRbcarQEY Code: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJFRbcarQEY 4K UltraHD flat Light Version - same as 360° Light Version but without 360° metadata https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2llQBEjsIjk Code: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2llQBEjsIjk 4K UltraHD flat Dark Version - same as 360° Dark Version but without 360° metadata https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPNPQtqwa7E Code: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPNPQtqwa7E Soon also at my Vrideo Channel: http://www.vrideo.com/CHGXEddjE/videos-uploaded Soon also at my WearVR Channel: https://www.wearvr.com/developers/schizo604/apps Enjoy your Virtual Reality Fractal Flight! First video panoramic-type with fractals on FRACTALFORUMS.
COOL! Good job! :peacock: :smileysmileys: :spiral: :mandel: Title: Re: 360° VR Descent into Fractal Core - Mandelbulb 3D fractal animation UltraHD 4K Post by: Sabine on November 06, 2016, 09:50:50 AM Very cool, especially the panoramic one  Would wish that there existed cinemas where you stand inside a spherical screen for that one! :)

Very cool, especially the panoramic one  Would wish that there existed cinema's where you stand inside a spherical screen for that one! :) Full dome ? Would be nice if we could use them for fractals. Are there enough people interested in fractals for such an event to occur ?Title: Re: 360° VR Descent into Fractal Core - Mandelbulb 3D fractal animation UltraHD 4K Post by: Sabine on November 06, 2016, 11:23:50 PM Quote Full dome ? If there's such I thing I'd be happy to see some fractals in there, and absolutely would love this panoramic video up here to be shown, tit_toinouTitle: Re: 360° VR Descent into Fractal Core - Mandelbulb 3D fractal animation UltraHD 4K Post by: schizo on December 17, 2016, 02:13:22 PM Thank you all for the nice comments.
Full dome is possible! NEST Dome made a tent at Beakerhead 2016, Calgary, Alberta. Obviously they showed my "360° Fractal Matrix" there full dome: https://www.facebook.com/nestdome/photos/?tab=album&album_id=1224029670972118 (1st and second-to-last image) Fullscreen photos only visible when logged in at facebook: https://www.facebook.com/nestdome/photos/a.1224029670972118.1073741834.966733253368429/1224029734305445/?type=3&theater https://www.facebook.com/nestdome/photos/a.1224029670972118.1073741834.966733253368429/1224030150972070/?type=3&theater Looks like people enjoy the ride :dink: Title: Re: 360° VR Descent into Fractal Core - Mandelbulb 3D fractal animation UltraHD 4K Post by: Sabine on December 22, 2016, 06:40:34 PM Very very cool, schizo! Would have loved to see that :) Next step: Spherical screen instead of full dome ;) But I guess we'll have to rely in VR for that :} |
