I am happy today to introduce my latest work;
“The Mystery”
Oil on Canvas  16” x 12”
       In his early surrealist days, Salvador Dali once famously said “ If you know the meaning of a painting before you paint it, don’t bother”
       Unlike most of my work, my latest painting “The Mystery” departs from the norm as I do not know what it means, or why it had to be painted. Loosely based on a inspirational picture for engineering, it utilizes elements of a number of Dali paintings.
       The composition and subject matter leads to several questions with unknown answers, thus the title. The large and foreboding fractal structure acts as the main architectural element for the work.
       To see the inspirational picture and as many details as possible for the picture please go to ; http://www.louismarkoya.com/the-mystery
To find out all it’s connections to Dali works and more.

This will be the last painting I will complete before my one man show beginning mid November. My time will be spent on fracming and logistics, I hope some of you will make it there.
