Title: Bulb Tracer vs Voxelstack
Post by: ansr23 on September 23, 2016, 05:09:53 AM
I have been experimenting with the newly implemented Bulb tracer for mesh generation which appears to be a promising feature!
I would like to use this tool to prepare fractals for 3d printing instead of the previous voxelstack>fiji>meshlab workflow but I find that bulbtracer is much slower.

Can anyone direct me to any tutorials that might explain these new features and how they might be optimized?

specifically:
Are there limitations to the volumetric resolution?
What does 'oversampling' do. Does this affect the process time?
Should I be using 'taubin smooth'?

Thanks
