Title: Minibrot in flames
Post by: Buddhi on January 17, 2010, 01:00:24 PM
I made some experiment with delta DE and thresholds for minimum and maximum iteration count. DE steps are continuing when iteration count is lower than min_iter and stops when DE<DE_threshold and iters>max_iter. Glow is proportional to number of steps. Without this additional threshold rendering of Minibrots was nearly impossible because there was too much details. Minimum iteration count limit reduces parts of fractal where DE was very low and number of iterations was also very low. Reduced details are visible as glow.

The same method as above but hypercomplex formula

here, the spikes clearly show more minibulbs :D

You could easily go offaxis :)
Looks great!
