Title: mandelbulb 3d voxel stack question Post by: morbazan on September 07, 2016, 08:56:44 PM ive just recently started using mandelbulb 3d, i have tried a few searches of the forum but cant find the answer im looking for but apologies if it is out there somewhere.
im trying to use mandelbulb 3d to make fractals i can 3d print, ive followed a youtube tutorial and everything went fine, now that im trying things for myself i find that when using the voxel stack, sometimes i dont get the entire object and watching the preview doesnt always clearly show if its rendered fully from back to front. my question is, is there a clear way to know if you have set the parameters correctly so that you get 100% of the 3d image in 3 dimensions before actually slicing it? i hope someone understands my question but if ive not been clear enough let me know and ill try and explain better thank you Title: Re: mandelbulb 3d voxel stack question Post by: thargor6 on September 07, 2016, 10:39:56 PM The coordinates used by the BulbTracer (you need MB3D 1.91) are the same. So you could quick-create and preview a mesh using BulbTracer and then using the same params to create the slices. Did never try this, but should work. Good luck! |
