Title: Kalles Fraktaler 2.11.1 Post by: Kalles Fraktaler on August 19, 2016, 04:51:48 PM A small but fun update.
All "TheRedShifter" formulas are updated with an arbitrary constant for the Power 2 part in the forumla a*z^2 +/- z^n + c (except formula 3 which already has a=2) Now you can create an unique formula and zoom as deep as you want into it (almost ;)) Get it from http://www.chillheimer.de/kallesfraktaler Title: Re: Kalles Fraktaler 2.11.1 Post by: TheRedshiftRider on August 19, 2016, 08:29:52 PM Thank you, tomorrow I will test them. (I will be back home from vacation and able to use a computer again) I cannot wait to have a look at them.
This is a great addition to what I have requested. Thank you again. Title: Re: Kalles Fraktaler 2.11.1 Post by: ellarien on November 15, 2016, 12:03:32 AM Fun!
I made a movie with the first RedShiftRider formula and a=0.5. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZ7Hgzu15qI Unfortunately the program was crashing a lot as I zoomed in, and I gave up before I quite got to the final minibrot. (I guess this is a tricky area, as so much of the pattern is made up of 'inside' areas.) It's not too bad on the render time, really -- the iterations in the black areas are only a few thousand most of the way. And yes, it's really a hang rather than a crash, but as I had to close the program to get out of it, it comes to pretty much the same thing. If it wasn't for the recovery function I'd never have made it this far -- it happened about a dozen times on the way down. |
