Title: Solid flame fractals
Post by: thargor6 on June 29, 2016, 02:17:09 AM
Hi,
just wanted to show some work in progress for JWildfire 3.0: solid rendering of flame fractals.
Editing takes place in the editor you know from editing "normal" flame-fractals, together with the progressive/realtime-display.
3D-editing takes place by switching editing planes. I. e. you have the common view (in most of the cases "triangles", but it is customizable) and may select the plane to which to apply those controls.

Here is an example of a 3D-flower which are still very popular:

Any (serious) feedback is welcome,

Cheers!

Andreas

It will be great!
Will wait!

Two more examples:

Using a mesh as base-shape together with julia3d:

Classic pre_blur and hemisphere, again with julia3d:

Cheers!

Some more recent examples:

Flower-fractal with dof:

Spherical3D with meshes as base-shape:

Classic Julia3D-style

Some more fun with meshes, this time a "inverted" cog:

Meshes and DOF test, DOF not right yet, but I still liked the result so far

More classic flower-fractal, with reflection-map

Cheers!

Thank you!

Here are some more recent examples:

Playing with dof:

Some strange perspective:

Trying to optimize the dof:

First try to implement shadows:

First longe-time-render of an object (before the recent dof and shadow extentions):

Rewritten the dof-stuff for the 2nd time, lol:

They are so good!! The top one (playing with DOF) being my favourite.

Hi,
some more recent examples/improvements:

"Bridge" (some 3d-function-plot as base-shape, formula compiled at runtime)

You are doing masterful job Andreas. I like 3d attractors!
But....
You forgot to release JwildPokemon Go... when?  :tease:
