Title: back to the roots Post by: taurus on June 21, 2016, 01:39:32 AM If you think of adding useful (old) new Features to v2 of mandelbulber, besides lots of sliders, try the z buffer.
the multi-layer Export was postponed after v 1.12 (yes not 1.21). most layers there were more like toys, but the z-buffer is essential in most cases of post-production. So please - saving a 16 bit z-buffer is nothing to remove from feature list. You cripple the possibilities... Go to preferences dialog (menu File/Program settings). There you will find option to enable saving of z-buffer together with image (there will be generated additional file). It also works with animation.

Version: 2.08-1 System: WIN 10 home Have you check if you set following in preferences dialog: - Color: 16-bit - Zbuffer: 16-bit And then use Save as PNG... (not Save as PNG 16 bit) Title: Re: back to the roots Post by: taurus on July 09, 2016, 11:53:58 AM Have you check if you set following in preferences dialog: - Color: 16-bit - Zbuffer: 16-bit And then use Save as PNG... (not Save as PNG 16 bit) I checked, but chose a different way. First I save as png (non 16bit) - the zbuffer is created, second I save as 16bit png - only image file is replaced. In that way I can still save 8bit pngs, without changing preferences :dink: |
