Title: Deep view
Post by: JColyer on January 09, 2010, 09:57:55 PM
Here's a deep view into a degree 8 (-sine) mandelbulb-julia (-0.52734375, 0.21484375, -0.4296875).  This shows the area right around the basin of attraction and it's preimages. This represents about 10% of the volume of the entire basin.  Blue represents areas with shorter orbits and goes to red which indicates longer orbits.

two more images, same set up as before, but looking at the previous images next two neighbors - headed towards the interior of the set - so these images represent the activity around the basins of julias that are becoming more stable.  I personally think they take on a more fluid like appearance.  The last image in particular makes me think of non-newtonian fluid on a speaker.  First image (-0.5078125,0.21484375,-0.4296875) second image (-0.48828125,0.21484375,-0.4296875).  All images generated at 6 iterations.
