Title: Mandelbulb Julia image Post by: Nahee_Enterprises on January 08, 2010, 05:20:30 PM Here is a Julia-set image using the Mandelbulb 3D formula (n=7) through Terry Gintz's QuaSZ (http://www.mysticfractal.com/) program:
(http://www.Nahee.com/Stuff/TerryWGintz_Mandelbulb7_Julia_Bryce.jpg) This was another .OBJ file saved from QuaSZ-x64 and then rendered within Bryce 6.1. System requirements: 64-bit Windows with a minimum of 6 GB main memory. 5 iterations, 2400 steps, about 6 minutes processing time. Object file slimmed to 2 million faces. As you may have noticed within the image (lower right-hand corner), it has the creator's signature. I included all of the details about its creation that were available to me. Anything more will need to come from Terry himself. But as mentioned, this is not a publicly available version as yet, it is still being tested. Which means that the TRIAL version does not have these capabilities yet. (dramatic music!) Did you drop it after it was rendered ?? :evil1: Title: Re: Mandelbulb Julia image Post by: Nahee_Enterprises on February 23, 2010, 03:42:31 PM I purchased QuaSZ x64 (version 1.00.020510). I've been trying to reproduce the image you posted without success. I must be missing something. Is it possible to create a Julia Mandelbulb in the current version of QuaSZ? or is that function still unreleased? Scratch that, I figured it out. Sorry, sorry. Still very new... :) I gather you found the available options under the TYPE menu selection. If you create something interesting, please post it to this Forum, or supply a link if it is in your own gallery. |
