It is because actual rendering engine doesn't allow that. It was in old Mandelbulber (v1), but it limited implementation of many volumetric effects. Actually the best way is to use auto-refresh option in Mandelbulber v2 which re-renders image automatically if any parameter is changed. It works quite fast because there is used progressive render. |
