Post by: matera on November 01, 2006, 01:20:48 AM The FRS files are just plain, readable text. You can open one in Notepad (not Word), copy the text, and paste it into a post here. Then we can copy, paste into Notepad or our favorite text editor, and save as (filename).frs
To upload one, you need to use the full reply (not the quick reply, if you have that enabled, but click the reply button). Below the text input box is a link called "additional options." Click on that, and you will see "attach" followed by a blank space, followed by a button that says "browse." Click on "Browse" and navigate to wherever your FE files are. Choose the right one, and off we go. Here's two for the price of one: copy after the line ------------------ [DrawSize] X_Size=512 Y_Size=512 [Main] Renderer=Fractal Explorer 2.02 30/10/2006 Comment= SignText= FontName=Comic Sans MS FontSize=8 FontBold=0 FontUnderl=0 FontItalic=1 FontColor=16777215 BrushStyle=0 BrushColor=16777215 Position=5 [Fractal] LayerRed=33023 LayerGreen=33023 LayerBlue=33023 X_Coord=-0.99719749171939968 Y_Coord=0.716240558918087808 W_Coord=0.000118822035971563264 X0_Coord=-2.40000009536743168 Y0_Coord=2.40000009536743168 W0_Coord=4.80000019073486336 Precision=2 P1real=0.5 P1imag=0.5 P2real=0.5 P2imag=0.5 P3real=0 P3imag=0 P4real=0 P4imag=0 PJreal=0.5 PJimag=0.5 Function1=16 Function2=23 Rotation=10 Rotation_free=-4 BailOut=9 F-Set=0 JulieSet=0 Inverted=0 Transformer=0 Filter=12 Strange=0.00999999977648258176 KeepBlk=0 NoOutside=0 Filter only=0 ST_Number=1 ConstructorA1=1 ConstructorB1=0 ConstructorC1=1 ConstructorD1=0 ConstructorE1=0 ConstructorF1=0 ConstructorG1=0 ConstructorH1=0 ConstructorI1=0 ConstructorJ1=0 ConstructorK1=0 ConstructorL1=0 ConstructorM1=0 Number=58 MaxIter=200 Smoothing=0 [Colors] Palette type=9 ColorOrder=2 Brightness=0 Contrast=0 Saturation=100 Grayed=0 NewUFpalette=0 IterChanging=0 IterChanging1=0 UFDensity=4 UFmappingMode=4 InfinityRed=0 InfinityGreen=0 InfinityBlue=0 [Standart palette] RedStep=5 RedShift=-67 GreenStep=5 GreenShift=71 BlueStep=5 BlueShift=-255 [Linear palette] Red1=0 Red2=255 Green1=0 Green2=255 Blue1=128 Blue2=0 [Parabola palette] Red1=0 Red2=255 Green1=0 Green2=255 Blue1=255 Blue2=0 [Square palette] Red1=0 Red2=128 Green1=0 Green2=0 Blue1=0 Blue2=255 [UF palette] Count=4 Node0x=0 Node0r=255 Node0g=210 Node0b=0 Node1x=55 Node1r=0 Node1g=0 Node1b=0 Node2x=136 Node2r=11 Node2g=152 Node2b=71 Node3x=275 Node3r=152 Node3g=87 Node3b=0 ---------stop - do not include this line ------------ Title: Re: Fractal Explorer ... Post by: titia on November 01, 2006, 08:52:34 AM There is a better way to upload the files....you don't have to scroll such a long way.
Down under, on the left side of the replyscreen, you see "additional options". Click on that word and you can upload the file as an *.frs attachment. Much easier. Title: Re: Fractal Explorer ... Post by: GFWorld on November 01, 2006, 06:52:08 PM Thanks Mat and Titia for explanation - here is the file ;)

I downloaded the freeware Fractal Explorer (FE) from indicated internet address. Now clicking on .frs files works fine. Thanks, Jules. Title: Re: Fractal Explorer ... Post by: GFWorld on November 02, 2006, 08:49:57 PM Jules wrote > ... Now clicking on .frs files works fine ...
