Title: shadertoy, New and different effects to remix Post by: Mrz00m on April 05, 2016, 12:48:43 PM I have a new graphics card so i am going around all the shadertoy fractal presets to celebrate:

Yes... *sigh* I really miss having fun at Shadertoy Title: Re: shadertoy, New and different effects to remix Post by: Mrz00m on November 05, 2016, 11:05:00 AM Here's another. https://www.shadertoy.com/view/llX3zr
For Jesse's program, shadertoy shows that the light ambience is one of the most interesting things in all the 3d images, reflection, refraction, opacity, shininess, metailicity, and if we can vary ambient light very easily in 3d fractals it makes for a lot more variety than having thousands of formulas and limeted light rendering options. Title: Re: shadertoy, New and different effects to remix Post by: utak3r on February 09, 2017, 08:41:24 AM As I've only very recently discovered ShaderToy, I've started working on a handy desktop tool compatible with this:
https://github.com/utak3r/ShaderRunner/releases/tag/1.0 For now it supports single-run shaders, without external textures. But it gives offscreen rendering to a file and also rendering an animation (using ffmpeg). I'm not sure if I should open a thread for this, because it's not a stricte fractal tool, however I've done it having fractals in my mind ;) As for future plans, I want to add textures support, a highlighter to an editor etc. Ah! It works both under Windows and Linux. I find what you are doing interesting, and it would be good to be able to follow what you are doing in a dedicated thread.
