This IFS is based on 'bifurcations'. Do you have also examples of IFS with 'trifurcations" (i.e. from one branche to three smaller branches). And I hope also in 3D.

Thanks for comments Jules.

No I dont because I am a * Newbie * here, trying to come in / learn about DofoZon and FractalVisions (again)  & Fractal Imaginator ( new)  :-)

But another example here :

If you like have a try with changes at Edit / LSystem Axiom in the program - Screenshot here ...

As I think there are wonderful possibilities with FractalVisions here too ...

Funny :-))) - Tiny Pic does not accept the small bmp files ( which include parfiles ) here I made and which can be load in the individual programs ...
Anyway -  they are online here now http://www.graphicandfractalworld.com/Fr4/Mandel-3D.htm for a try maybe :-)))

ahhh, l-systems, good old friends :) i must admit that your work is muuuuch more aesthetically pleasing than my brief experiments! i spent far too much of the 2 day project time writing the renderer and l-system interpreter, and never got around to making any decent trees with leaves and varying textures/materials etc.

Yes, both DofoZon Elite and Fractal ViZion are very good programs that Terry W. Gintz has available as Trial-ware, and can be downloaded freely at either his site http://www.MysticFractal.com/ (http://www.MysticFractal.com/) or at my site http://www.Nahee.com/Software/ (http://http://www.Nahee.com/Software/).

But I do not believe that any of Terry's programs actually store the parameter values within the .BMP formatted images that are saved.  What usually happens is that both the .BMP file and a .DZ or .ZP file (depending on which program you used) gets saved.

You are absolute right here Paul , Terry W.Gintz did not really - its my mistake !   ::)

I was confused here to save as bmp and open as bmp in DofoZon.
So I thought about MindBogglingFractals which has only one file as parameter & Fractal and it would be ok here too.

But , as I could see with a bit distance now, there is always a parameterfile .zp parallel saved too.
Without this .zp I can open the Fractal, but cannot make changes.

Wherever the files are , Fractal & .zp file must be together !

>Yes, both DofoZon Elite and Fractal ViZion are very good programs
I agree and keep on learning my as I think 11th Fractal program now  :)
