Title: Simply Awesome II Full HD 60Hz Post by: stardust4ever on March 22, 2016, 04:41:06 AM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnUjXAIIcq0
Quote This is a complete rework of my first [incomplete] deep zoom Mandelbrot journey, originally rendered in Fractal Extreme on a dual core 32-bit laptop, uploaded nearly seven years ago, April 30th, 2009... Now available for the first time in glorious HD 1080p 60Hz! O0 I zoom past the minibrot at the end to do it all over again, one final time. Rendered in Kalles Fractaler, 3840x2160 frames, downsampled to 1920x1080p 60Hz for fine 2x2 Anti-Alias. Special effects utilized: color cycling and sloped texture. I've watched the 60Hz video twice now in 1080p. There are some extremely dense gray areas, due to the mini close encounter, with gorgeous seashell like spirals that show up as relief thanks to the texture mapping. I thought those textures were completely destroyed by artifacting, but I return from midnight brunch to view the video a second time, and while there is still some artifacting, the seashell textures (as seen 3/4 through the video) are now preserved and very much intact. Source videos for 1024 X chromosomes (720p60) and Simply Awesome Too (1080p60) are uploading to Mega, 10+ hours remaining due to slow DSL uplink. Links forthcoming... O0 |
