Title: Chromosome 1024X (720p 60Hz) 1.96 E1196 Post by: stardust4ever on March 19, 2016, 05:46:55 PM Part 1 or 2:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Odbj7OLHKoo Part 2 of 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnFIsbuOgtM An area I explored that features Metaphase type chromosome formations to an unprecedented 1024 long row. Special thanks to Kalles Fraktaler for helping me locate the minibrot of these rather difficult formations. Also my first 60Hz video... O0 EDIT: You may need to click the actual YT link in the top of the video window to view in 60Hz as it does not appear to work when embedded. EDIT2: Mega Link is up! 60 fps is a pleasure to watch. Seeing this ending without compression artifacts would have been amazing. Seeing this ending without compression artifacts would have been amazing. I should be uploading the 720p60 source AVI files to my Mega account sometime. I'm currently uploading a new AVI to youtube, Simply Awesome Too, a complete rework of my first Mandelbrot Zoom, in full HD 1080p 60Hz. Something really annoying happened though; all my previous Mega links quit working sometime last year after I reset my password, and I have yet to post updated links to all my AVIs. Why the old links don't work anymore, I have no idea; the files are still present within my account and have not been moved or deleted. I am using H264, High Profile, CRF=21, Very Slow for my AVIs now. I am getting pretty high quality for local playback, under 2Gb for 15 minute videos, although you still need a decent spec PC to view 1080p60. Going from 30Hz to 60Hz at the same movie legnth / zoom speed and quality setting only increases the filesize by about 30%. I am debating whether I should enable "optimize for reduced CPU load" on future zoom movies since I get momentary stutters with Windows Media Player even on my 4.2Ghz AMD Bulldozer rendering machine, when viewing my latest 1080p60 movie (Yes, I'm aware WMP Classic is slightly more optimized). I must admit I was less than thrilled with the single core performance of the AMD bulldozer architecture, the new FX 8150 actually performing slightly worse "per core" than my old Phenom II 955 x4, but in late 2011 with 8 discrete ALU cores for $250, it was the absolute fastest "affordable" desktop CPU on the market at that time in terms of running massively parallel operations like fractal rendering.
