Title: Mandelbulber 2.06 - exr not written
Post by: verstaerker on February 23, 2016, 09:21:56 AM
i'm trying to render .exrs on OSX 10.11 with Mandelbulber 2.06 .. as i was missing the option in the ui (but saw in the prefs) i tried the command line renderer with the -f exr option
it renders the image and says to have written it to the specified path image.exr
but then there is no file ..
it works for .png

Exr support for OS X is not yet available. Sorry, my fault.  :hurt:

ah that explains it :)

are you planning to implement it? openexr is freely available for OSX as well

It's not a real bug. At first I got an error when linking  but now it works also with .exr files :), dynamic libraries are built and used with mandelbulber2; the app is not uploaded on the internet but if you want I can make it downloadable for you.
BTW there are no pre-built OpenExr libraries for OS X, only for Windows, don't know why.  :-\

This is an image in order to test the exr file creation using the GUI > http://bit.ly/1RzE4FZ

Sorry, I am abroad now - I am uploading the .dmg file from an cybercafé.
It is built statically, I had to change a bit the qt .pro file  ;D and now it works.
