Title: Demoscene Post by: Lois on January 18, 2016, 11:59:24 PM demoscene
I explore the unexpected things in fractals. In the demoscene decided to make a demo. It Exe files you want to run. I propose to start my Exe file. You'll be surprised. https://yadi.sk/d/3a0Ph9iSnJSXU Title: Re: Demoscene Post by: cKleinhuis on January 19, 2016, 12:12:13 AM hmm, have you released it at some party? right now i have no anti virus software installed and so i am not checking out your link :(

Take advantage of them. What should I do to use the demo in a party? Title: Re: Demoscene Post by: panzerboy on January 19, 2016, 02:03:07 AM Needs a bass.dll to run, I found a bass.dll here http://www.un4seen.com/
Then I had the following error "the application was unable to start correctly 0xc000007b..." Running Windows 10 (64 bit of course). Ahah! I copied the 64 bit bass.dll from the X64 directory, mir_fractal needs the 32 bit bass.dll from the root directory of the bass24.zip. problem solved. Yes, indeed there is a problem. But I have everything working properly. Did you like it ? Title: Re: Demoscene Post by: panzerboy on January 19, 2016, 04:42:31 AM I liked the music more than the visuals. Am I right in thinking its mostly echo (delay) manipulation?
Getting a delay to self oscillate and feedback? Interesting but not ... pleasant. Perhaps the visuals weren't working right? There were two rapidly rotating fractal pictures, the rotation was so fast I couldn't make out much detail. The background was a grid of Doom style pixelated textures. I've attached a screen capture of what I saw. Is there a way to end the demo. I've been using the task manager to kill the process. This is a very interesting tool. Modular synthesizer Korg Little Bits https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4th8p0jSK9E Quote Perhaps the visuals weren't working right? Double-click on the screen and the program is reduced. Then you can close it in the line below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1tGpB2tNS8k Title: Re: Demoscene Post by: JohnVV on January 20, 2016, 11:37:06 PM a binary MS *.exe and NO screenshots and no source code

This problem is only you. Perhaps you are a special person. Others have no such problems. Title: Re: Demoscene Post by: lycium on January 21, 2016, 02:13:30 PM The ones who didn't have problems are the ones who happened to have the runtime DLLs needed by your exe already. See for yourself: http://www.dependencywalker.com/ (I'm not touching your exe either!) Something I find funny about this thread is that there's so much attention for an exe no one trusts, but when someone posts their meticulously distributed software it often gets no attention :tongue1: |
