Title: Fractal applications in architecture Post by: TheRedshiftRider on January 09, 2016, 09:35:44 PM (Im sorry for posting this in probably the wrong section, I have tried to find out where to but this seems to be the best option.)
Currently Im working on a reasearch project to find out more about the use of fractals in architecture. At this moment Im trying how It is used or can be used. One of the things Ive found is as simple trying to support a roof. Are there any other ways they can be used? Both structure and design applications are ok. Thanks in advance. http://fractalfoundation.org/OFC/OFC-12-1.html I kind of forgot about it but it is very useful. So I will probably have a look at fractal foundation as well. Title: Re: Fractal applications in architecture Post by: surrealista1 on January 12, 2016, 04:02:58 PM that link is very interesting

I've heard about the project in Amsterdam. The Stuttgart airport looks great. I'll need to have a look at the eiffel tower. Apparently...
You can have a look at it here. It is in Dutch though: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B94LayrCPx5Ec29DczJkOFhwQms Unfortunately Brasnacte hasnt been able to finish the interview. He hasnt replied yet. But I might be able to cover his interview during the verbal exams. Thanks to Ckleinhuis and Chillheimer and everyone else who helped me. There are some errors but this Isnt the final version. Now I will need to wait a few months, do my oral exams which includes presenting the paper and after that I will know if I did it right. Title: Re: Fractal applications in architecture Post by: TheRedshiftRider on July 12, 2016, 07:52:27 PM I had to do the presentation today. It went really well.
It could be rated bad, average or good. My paper and presentation got a good rating from the examiners. Thanks to everyone who got involved in this. Title: Re: Fractal applications in architecture Post by: TheRedshiftRider on July 12, 2016, 08:21:10 PM Thank you. The presentation itself is not on video so I can't show it that way. I do have a powerpoint document with some pictures and reminders: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B94LayrCPx5EZzNnUUVPYm1CMFVtZ212b2dRT1Z3WlRDRTRB/view That might be interesting to have a look at.
