When exporting params it still shows Mandelbulb3Dv18{
g.....S....O/...w....2....EQnv.5A23wzOvceF.kkTzD3sBnOJk74zHEKcH0tqikzMIYa4fNzeyj
...............

instead of Mandelbulb3Dv19

figured it would have been fixed with 1.9 so I did not post it as a bug

It took me a while to find this download ... if this is the 'production release' shouldn't it be in the MandelBulb 3D releases : http://www.fractalforums.com/releases/

Not sure, I think this thread here was automatically created. I only added the download in the download-section, which I thought should be enough - but what was a lot more confusing to me, was the fact that the entry had more downloads than views - how can that be?  :hmh:

I can move this and move the standard notifications folder to the release folder

more downloads than views, hmm, i have to admit that i just cam guess about that... perhaps it counts views as downloads, or people aomehow tend to double download for some reasons...

very nice!
I love the new look!

2 things:
-if you want to open a file in the explorer and do a rightclick on the file/folder the shown menu is black and in chinese? (I often use copy/paste of folder-paths, so this kind of gets in the way)
-could you have the position of the formula/lighting/navigation windows saved? when closing them they re-open at the very left of the screen. addon: if the position could be saved globally, so that it stays even after a full program restart that would be awesome..

File-format has not changed by design

but the beginning of the params tell you the version, so it is usefull to have that (v19) in the params. There are lot of things that won't work in a 189x2 installation with a v19 params (not that I am complaining about that), so I think this problem should be adresed.

Thank you very much and sorry for necromancing the topic...

but the beginning of the params tell you the version
This is a big misunderstanding, the number tells you not the version of the program, but the version of the file-format. Usually this is the version which *introduced* this version of the file-format.
It makes never sense to change the file-format with each new release because it is a new release.
File-format has not changed for V1.90, so no v19 marker.

When things not work, please file a bug report.

What really pisses me off sometimes: (I'm forced to use Facebook, so) I sometimes see people discussing about problems or suggestions in their groups (sometimes they reference my name and so I get some notification), they are talking a lot... but nobody actually takes the initiative to address the problem. Report them, or do whatever may be constructive,

E.g., I recently read in a thread, that all developers are retards and can not design user interfaces, and especailly the MB3D is extremely bad, not designed for humans. But, I never received any suggestion, bug report or whatever regarding this, yet.

So, in short: If you have a problem, please just report it so that it can be fixed. Rule of thumb: The more precise you can describe it, the faster it can be fixed.
"Lots of things that won't work" can not be fixed.

Cheers!

"...MB3D is extremely bad, not designed for humans..." = crazy talk.
One of the reasons I use MB3D is because it interface is much easier to use than the other 3D fractal programs.
Perhaps they are confused by the huge number of features MB3D has.

"Lots of things that won't work" can not be fixed.

Thanks for the reply. So, I was wrong. But as "lot of things that won't work" I was refering to things that are not properly bug of the programs, but more like new formulas and new things, so it wasn't a complaining at all.

btw, I really like the Mb3d interface. Other things is I should investigate how to file a bug if I find any.
