Title: Stellated Octahedron for M3D???
Post by: M Benesi on October 29, 2015, 05:57:17 PM
  I was looking for one.. don't know if it's hidden under a different formula name in the DIFS??

  I'd prefer not having to code it!

  The following code isn't right- it's close, and it looks like a stellated octahedron, but.. it's just not right.  I better dig through Knighty's scripts, because I don't want to reinvent the wheel...

  K... found it in Fragmentariums KIFS directory.  Is there a version in M3D that I don't see because of weird naming conventions?
Code:

if (z.x+z.y<0.0) z.xy = -z.yx;
if (z.x+z.z<0.0) z.xz = -z.zx;
if (z.x-z.y<0.0) z.xy = z.yx;
if (z.x-z.z<0.0) z.xz = z.zx;

z = z*Scale - Offset*(Scale-1.0);

Okay the knighty scripts are surely lots better but I guess you can do an arrangement :embarrass:
