Title: Mandelbulb3D - creating pointy crystals Post by: Dalin on October 16, 2015, 04:39:49 PM Heyo awesome fractalfolks,
I'm new in Mandelbulb3D and I want to create only fragments of the fractal -like the tip of it. So it will occure like a growing crystal. Is this possible, do any of you guys have any tips? thx, Dalin Title: Re: Mandelbulb3D - creating pointy crystals Post by: DarkBeam on October 16, 2015, 08:55:00 PM I want to create only fragments of the fractal -like the tip of it. Is this possible, do any of you guys have any tips? thx, Dalin Hello and welcome to the forums O0 I think I understand what you are asking, but that is not the way fractals are generated by the software, so the software cannot animate them for you in that manner. It may be possible in post work using creative masking and editing, and that may be your best bet. There may be some fractals which can be "grown" in the manner you want, but I am sure that technique is not applicable to all fractals in general. Feel free to post example parameters if you want. It may help give a definite yes or no for your specific case. Hope that helps. Good luck with it. - use slicing at xyz planes to cut out elements you dont want - use iteration count to give it some impression of growth Title: Re: Mandelbulb3D - creating pointy crystals Post by: DarkBeam on October 18, 2015, 05:18:37 PM I loved the surreal question so I stole it :D Sorry :troll: |
