Title: High-performance GLSL noise functions Post by: Patryk Kizny on October 14, 2015, 11:39:50 PM I've been trying to use some of the noise functions included in Fragmentarium: Classic-Noise and Ashima-Noise.
These work very well, but are extremely slow. Looking for alternatives I found a bunch of cool stuff: Very simple and fast noise from IQ https://www.shadertoy.com/view/4sfGzS This is damn fast. Here's a neat set of simplified, performance-oriented noise functions from Brian Sharpe: https://github.com/BrianSharpe/Wombat Perlin4D and Value4D noise functions are really performant. And here's a full-blown library from the same author, although it's all in one file so you'll have to slice it into digestible bits depending on the needs. https://github.com/BrianSharpe/GPU-Noise-Lib Hope some it's useful.
