Title: Fractals in exe
Post by: Lois on October 06, 2015, 08:43:34 PM
Can I get fractals in exe?

We are talking about demos, as is customary in the demoscene

That is an interesting question.

What is exe?

I thought it was the executable file format for all windows programs, and there are many of those so I think I am missing something.

Of course, I also don't know what the demoscene is  (I thought it was just a general term for any demo version of any program provided by anybody at any place or any time - yet again proving my own ignorance), so perhaps I shouldn't even have replied...   :ugly:

I'm pretty sure this demo uses fractal raymarching techniques (plus some edge detection post effects), in 4096 bytes: http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=55758

You should download and run it on Windows with a decent GPU, for the rest there is a youtube video:

Thanks!

Always glad to learn something new   :embarrass:

the computer party in cologne where i present various stuff is a computer party, bam, a little spamming then:
and perhaps it demonstrates how to include a fractal in a exe ( unit engine used to display a glsl shader)

Thank you. Can you tell more about computer party?

I mean, what should be done to present a fractal Exe file? Maybe there is some program?

are you actually asking how to create demos?  demoscene demos are ridiculously small, and is kind of the whole point of the whole ordeal.  in order to acheive it basically they write assembly and use lots of fancy techniques to make as much happen as possible in a small amount of space, and its all done "by hand" of course so there is not just some program you run that generates it for you, or else it wouldnt be the competitive scene that it is, of the best programmers the world has to offer.  <3 demoscene

computer parties are meeting points for demo sceners ;) held around the world occasionally, hmm, i think you will have a hard time to get your hand on a real programming demos, BUT there is a tool that might be the right choice for you, it is called "werkkzeug" and is done by one of the most amazin demo groups in the world (farbrausch) and since they released it real demos where produced with it, it is kinda old, but still very versatile, and it produces .exe files ( VERY SMALL !!! )

check this link:

Thank you. So you're in Germany. In Russia, there is a Russian fascist Trehlebov. He is the idol of Russian demoscene. What can you say about this?

a *.exe is a MICROSOFT binary executable program

exe files are for Microsoft only and are programs one RUNS

so

i am guessing that this rather incoherent / incomplete / part of a thought
would be something like

Can i get a MICROSOFT 10 fractal program ?
