Title: Smily Face Fractal Post by: Duncan C on December 17, 2009, 04:03:58 AM (http://www.pbase.com/duncanc/image/120362276/original.jpg)
This started out as a 3D Mandelbrot set fractal rendered in FractalWorks. I ran a Photohop kaleidoscope action on the image, and found these faces in the resulting image. I cropped out one of the faces and darkened the "eyes" slightly so they showed up better. Aside from that this was what appeared when I created the kaleidoscope. but i like the colors Title: Re: Smily Face Fractal Post by: Pauldelbrot on December 17, 2009, 06:34:17 PM Nifty.
Embedded Julia from a thread coming from an elephant tail in Elephant Valley of the largest minibrot? Title: Re: Smily Face Fractal Post by: Duncan C on December 18, 2009, 02:37:05 AM Nifty. Embedded Julia from a thread coming from an elephant tail in Elephant Valley of the largest minibrot? Wow, you're good. By "Embedded Julia", you mean one of the Julia-looking "beads" on a thread coming off an elephant tail? (It is a Mandelbrot plot) If that's what you mean, that's exactly what it is. The plot coordinates are as follows: Fractal type: mandelbrot Maximum iterations: 10000 Center Point (real, imaginary): -1.74920463346, -0.000286846603299 i Plot Width (real): 2.8E-10 It is from a thread coming from an elephant tail on the largest mini-brot. Here's what the image looks like as a B&W 2D plot: (http://www.pbase.com/duncanc/image/120385219/original.jpg) Title: Re: Smily Face Fractal Post by: Pauldelbrot on December 18, 2009, 06:30:51 AM By "Embedded Julia", you mean one of the Julia-looking "beads" on a thread coming off an elephant tail? Yes. Quote (It is a Mandelbrot plot) I had noticed the minibrot in the image. :) Title: Re: Smily Face Fractal Post by: Nahee_Enterprises on January 11, 2010, 12:25:12 PM This started out as a 3D Mandelbrot set fractal rendered in FractalWorks. This would make a great looking quilt to cover a bed with. :) The plot coordinates are as follows: Fractal type: Mandelbrot Maximum iterations: 10000 Center Point (real, imaginary): -1.74920463346, -0.000286846603299 i Plot Width (real): 2.8E-10 Here's what the image looks like as a B&W 2D plot.... I even like the way the B/W came out. |
