Welcome to Fractal Forums

Hey everybody i have no idea what to write here so i figure ill just give you a brief outline of what drew me to this fractal forum.

Im 24 years old from Australia and have been amazed by fractals for a few years now after a friend introduced me to some zoom videos on youtube & Ultra fractal 4.0 after a couple of years of occasionally playing around with the program and being blown away by the videos on youtube i decided to take the plunge and create my own zoom videos. In the past 12 months ive uploaded 3 videos to youtube with the help of fractal eXtreme, as my computer is a pile of junk it takes quite a long time to render frames and so on its hard to find the time to make zoom videos, all of this is about to change as i have a nice quad core computer on the way. Anyways ever since my last attempt to make a zoom movie ive found my self researching fractals more & more, while also spending lots of time playing around with formulas & trying to learn some of the basics other than gradients and zooming mindlessly into a fractal. Trying to teach my self the math side of how fractals work can be very difficult as i have an extremely limited knowledge of maths (by far my most hated subject in high school) funny how things turn out sometimes.

Anyway i guess i decided to join up to talk with people who share the same interest & can hopefully teach me some things about creating original zoom movies & to get some feedback on my work, i look forwards to meeting you all & if you want to check out my current fractals head to my youtube page and let me know what you think :)
