Title: test of new formula
Post by: M Benesi on June 14, 2015, 12:02:10 AM
8 year old mobile! GPU (8600m), and lack of mastery of movement in fragmentarium contribute to the simplicity and short length of the video.  I have found a way to increase complexity, taking about 10x as long, however with these non-DE formulas....

How are they rendered if there is no DE function?

Is it a boolean "inside" and "outside" partition of the space?

Exactly, return if pixel is inside- normal is calculated by closeby "inside" points.  Fragmentarium has a brute force raytracer (not sure if Syntopia is the author??) for this type of thing.

If you aren't into GPU type stuff, you can use ChaosPro, which has a nice little formula compilation language you can play with.
