Title: More anaglyph renders (red/cyan glasses required)
Post by: cbuchner1 on December 08, 2009, 05:48:16 PM
Some detail studies (no deep zooms yet, as my interactive camera controls are really bad). All rendered on the GPU. Click for full size - best viewed full screen on 24 inch monitors or bigger.

Enjoy nevertheless. Okay, maybe you have to squint a little in order to get the effect. My eye separation in the renders is pretty drastic to get an exaggerated depth effect.

Went out and plunked down 280 Euros for two nVidia GTX 260 boards to render these babies in realtime in 3D.
Even in 1920x1200 screen pixels. I am going insane.  O0

In the mean time I also fixed my stereo convergence problem. The images I previously generated were pretty hard on the eyes (required some heavy squinting). Eye separation and convergence are now both adjustable.

Love that 'tube' anaglyph you did earlier, but these are great too.

I'm a sucker for 3D stereoscopic/anaglyph too. I know this isn't a fractal, but here's a 3D tube anim I did ages ago:
