Title: Mandelbulb power sweep Post by: cbuchner1 on December 06, 2009, 04:24:41 AM Vimeo servers still have this in the transcoding queue. It is now in Anaglyph Stereo format. Rendered on nVidia 8800GT this time (realtime!)
http://www.vimeo.com/8043636 It's a little slower than the previous video, as the GPU now has to work on two images simultaneously. I really need a faster graphics card ;) Christian Title: Re: Mandelbulb power sweep Post by: jehovajah on December 06, 2009, 09:58:50 AM Really nice! Reminds me of mitosis and development of the cell or seed. I especially like the separation in the tower as it sweeps down as it reminds me of the shedding of seeds as a plant or fungus dies or reaches maturity.
Fantastic! Title: Re: Mandelbulb power sweep Post by: cbuchner1 on December 08, 2009, 02:22:37 AM Above video has been moved to vimeo and rendered in Analgyph Stereo format for red/blue goggles. Try the full screen option.
Sorry for encoding artefacts (ghosting) Title: Re: Mandelbulb power sweep Post by: cKleinhuis on December 08, 2009, 05:42:16 AM arr, i just own green/red goggles :(
Title: Re: Mandelbulb power sweep Post by: cbuchner1 on December 08, 2009, 12:25:10 PM arr, i just own green/red goggles :( Have you tried them? I use 100% red for the left channel, and 50% green and 100% blue for the right channel. Hence you might have a chance that the green channel is visible enough through your goggles. Try the full screen option. I am just now getting around to viewing some of the animations I missed earlier, and this one was very nice to watch. The 3-D effect is quite pronounced against the background. |
