Wow. That's really striking. How long did it take to render? And how much LONGER would it take if you rendered it at a higher iteration count, say 1000?

I was about 5 hours. If I render it at 1000 iteration count it will take about 50 hours.

Really? It should only increase the calculation time by the percentage of pixels that actually have a higher iteration count. Looking at that plot, the region with a high iteration count is quite small. Most pixels should still bail out at a low iteration count even with max iterations set to a larger value.

It will be true when my program don't have to calculate global illumination. Most of calculations of shaders operates on areas with nearly maximum iteration rate, because it have to analyse points very close to actually calculated point.

I am still catching up on a few past images, and this one is really quite nice!!!    :)
But, only in a few small areas, it seems to be "stretched" a bit in its perspective view.  Not all that noticeable, just caught my eye as seeming to be a little bit off.
