Title: A blog about art and fractal aesthetic
Post by: s31415 on November 26, 2009, 05:00:20 AM
Hi,

Just to mention that I've been blogging for a while about algorithmic art and fractals here:
http://www.algorithmic-worlds.net/blog/blog.php
In this blog, I speak about my works, but I also try to feature artists outside the "fractal art community" whose works nevertheless display strong fractal features. It is partly due to the fact that last year I moved close to New York and got interested in the very dynamic contemporary art scene here. I feel that fractal artists should maybe be a bit more interested in contemporary art (without feeling obliged to like everything, I don't...). Building bridges with more traditional and recognized streams can only help improving the visibility of fractal art. That's partly what this blog is about.

Here are some posts featuring artists with very interesting and surprising works with fractal characteristics ("fractal" being understood in a purely aestheetic meaning, some of these works are not even computer generated):

And here is a blog post where I try to give three criterions to decide if a work should be called "fractal" or not

        ..............

Seems like everybody these days has created some type of blog for themselves.  But only a few are worth visiting on a regular basis, and yours is one of those.

Have always enjoyed the majority of your fractal renderings.  Keep up the good work!!!     :D
