Title: Hello there! Post by: Danus on February 18, 2015, 05:17:28 PM Hey there, my name is Danus and I'm 17 years old, living in Israel - I'm not a mathematician though keep that in mind, all I am is a programmer who is just amazed from fractals, I coded my first mandlebrot set based with help of google mostly and this is what ive generated

(I have no clue about coloring methods and smoothing - kinda came here to learn that!) Title: Re: Hello there! Post by: cKleinhuis on February 18, 2015, 05:31:48 PM hello and welcome to the forums
the coloring looks like you take the end value of your complex number to generate the color, obviously there exist many methods for getting a color you might find my introduction to the mandelbrot iteration interesting to get an idea what is happening below the surface, and the most simple color algorithm is described in there as well ;) http://www.fractalforums.com/index.php?action=gallery;cat=104 Title: Re: Hello there!
