Title: Most hungry fractal Post by: MatzeR on February 04, 2015, 10:52:10 AM After a while of absence I'm back on mb3d. The new amazingSurf2 formula was an invitation to get my hands back on mandelbulb3d.
Thanks to dark-beam for continuing optimizing it. I'm not able to judge how good this formula update is, because this is my first try to stack my own formula combination together. Here with the standard "integer power" and a "celtic_mode" on top. Intuitively I can say it renders fast is "stable" in terms of smooth pictures and the variations in this special case are enormous - so i hope more is to come soon. In this picture some PS post work is included because I did 2 renders the "classic" one and a montecarlo - so the picture is a kind of "hybrid".
