Title: Fractal resolution in v 2.02 Post by: acasta69 on January 02, 2015, 05:56:39 PM Hi Everyone,
I'm new to the forum and to Mandelbulber, I've just begun experimenting a bit and reading here and there to learn. I've read in the wiki a tip about relation between fractal resolution and image resolution. However I think it was related to old 1.xx versions, since I cannot find a fractal resolution parameter in v2.02 windows... Could you please comment if that tip is still valid for Mandelbulber 2.xx and how it can be applied? Thanks! It seems to behave exactly as described in the wiki. Ale Title: Re: Fractal resolution in v 2.02 Post by: mclarekin on January 04, 2015, 05:01:36 AM yep, 800x600 Detail Level 4 is the same quality as 3200x2400 Detail Level 1. Increase the length of side by 4 means decrease Detail Level by 4
Detail Level is the Dynamic DE threshold factor. Detail Level 1 = DE threshold equals to 1 screen pixel. Title: Re: Fractal resolution in v 2.02 Post by: acasta69 on January 05, 2015, 06:51:10 PM :thanks2: Ale |
