Title: Fractal Rendering in Film Production
Post by: alex_kim on December 10, 2014, 09:12:54 PM
hello,

We worked on implementing fractal rendering using production renderer mantra. Earlier this year we presented the technique at siggraph
http://s2014.siggraph.org/attendees/talks/sessions/capture-and-display

since I learned a lot about fractal rendering on this forum (and I mentioned this forum in the presentation) I wanted to share what we presented...

i wanted to thank everyone for generously sharing your knowledge on this forum,

Alex, this is a very interesting approach.
I wonder why was your solution that slow and so much slower than rendering in fractal software?
Is the computation time mentioned in the paper related to running it on CPU or GPU?
