Title: Mandelbulb Minibrot Post by: gaston3d on November 20, 2009, 11:23:33 PM It seems like this is my first post in this great forum, so
Hi everyone :) I was searching the web for some smart normal vector calculation methods, and I found this forum instead. The quest for true 3D Mandelbrot Set was awesome reading. Good job! I would like to share some results from raytracer I'm working on for some time. It's a zoom of Mandelbulb's first Minibrot (20 iterations). Image info: standard raytracing, diffuse lighting (one light source), 800x600 scaled to 400x300. Raytracer: C#, external formula DLLs import, multithreading (CPU only), mouse + keyboard navigation. TODO: LAN computing. More results and additional info soon.
