Hi444PP 10bit demo video

this is a 2 minute video i made to demo encoding to Hi444 predictive profile with 10bit x264.  frames were rendered at 12800x7200, filtered, downsampled, encoded to 1080p Hi444PP with 10bit x264, and muxed at 60fps with a flac audio track.  needless to say this probably wont play on your grandma's 15 year old e-machine, but any decent system should handle it.  one thing to note is that a lot of players will be happy to clobber this type of file back down to 4:2:0 on playback.  on linux, mpv -vo opengl-hq (or just -vo opengl) plays this type of file properly.  if you see something like this:

VO: [opengl-hq] 1920x1080 => 1920x1080 yuv444p10

then youre doing it right.  if you see something like this:

Using conversion filter.
VO: [vdpau] 1920x1080 => 1920x1080 yuv420p

then youre doing it wrong.  i dont use windows, though i gather mpc-hc (optionally in conjunction with madVR for gpu acceleration) is a good choice and will play this type of file properly.
