Showing part of a collection of more than 9 million spheres. Title: Re: Kleinian Post by: bib on September 09, 2014, 10:50:03 PM Nice!!
Title: Re: Kleinian Post by: cKleinhuis on September 09, 2014, 11:25:07 PM lovely, isnt that available as 3d formula ? i mean it looks just perfectly suitable for a realtime rendering approach!
would make a great formula for continuous zooms :D Title: Re: Kleinian Post by: JosLeys on September 10, 2014, 09:11:45 AM So far, I have found no way to come up with a DE approach for this kind of pictures.
The calculation of all the spheres in UF takes minutes to hours. Calculating a DE would be equally expensive... Title: Re: Kleinian Post by: cKleinhuis on September 10, 2014, 09:40:15 AM so, you place them explicitly in a looping kind of way and have not found an implicit representation for the sphere positions?
Title: Re: Kleinian Post by: JosLeys on September 10, 2014, 10:45:01 AM No, you start with a base sphere, and all the other ones are transformations of the base sphere by Moebius transformations. |
