Title: Higher order Mandelbrot zooms Post by: Kalles Fraktaler on August 21, 2014, 05:55:42 PM I made a series of movies a while ago zooming in higher Mandelbrot powers.
These movies were rendered during the night, one night each, on my 4 year old 64-bit quad core laptop. Thanks to knighty for making this possible! Order 4: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NC--HYR49QY Order 5: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fAXdh_vpGvQ Order 6: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x6Ie7uFje6I Order 7: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CKw_ToO-ZdU Order 8: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1KmHQmLHCs Order 9: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FHB7phTOaUk Unfortunately I made a mistake with the color cycling so it get a little flickering in the middle... Order 10: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O962MjP7OGs Unfortunately I was testing automatic decrease of iterations when zooming out, so there are some black blobs in the middle. The end of the movie is correct though. Title: Re: Higher order Mandelbrot zooms Post by: Kalles Fraktaler on August 21, 2014, 06:37:11 PM Yes perturbation, and with series approximation which formulas were developed by knighty (because my knowledge of derivations has faded away since it was not used for 20 years...) All available in Kalles Fraktaler :) |
