Title: Infinite Waves in Movies
Post by: Chillheimer on August 18, 2014, 08:35:11 PM
Hi!
I have this nice location and colouring (parameters attached)
and want to do a movie with it that only spans 2-3 "keyframes" and focuses on colour-cycling.
I used infinite waves to generate the colours.

But when I load the zoom sequence into the latest moviemaker, the divide iterations look totally different, much more spread, like with a much higher value..

Am I doing something wrong?

Regards,
Chilli

yes, I was doing something wrong.
I hadn't updated the desktop shortcut to the new version of the movie maker and was still using version 1.22.  : :embarrass:
in the latest version there is the wave-colouring dialog, works fine now. :)

but I would really love the moviemaker to read the information from the kfr-colour palette. you have to manually add the same values in the moviemakers wave colouring dialog as you did in kalles fraktaler.

Title: Re: Infinite Waves in Movies - "Blend"

Hi Kalle!
So I've gotten a little into the infinite colours and the new "blend"-checkbox.
it really works nice! :) I love the results that can be achieved fairly easily..

I have rendered all frames to do a zoom now, but I have no clue how to get the colours into the moviemaker.
I've got a 1024 palette, manually created by merging coloursteps.
And 3 numbers for infinite waves, blend checked.
(kfr is attached)
I tried to get this into the movie maker, but it doesn't look like my rendered frames at all..

Also, I'm starting to get more and more confused about the different colour dialogs of the moviemaker and the main program..
wouldn't it be easier to integrate a copy of the kf-colour-dialog into the moviemaker?

Yeah it is on my todo list.

Sorry I am so filled up with new fractal types currently... ;)
