Title: No man's Sky - procedural computergame
Post by: Chillheimer on August 15, 2014, 01:01:06 PM
I love this!
A game that generates the whole universe based on simple formulas, and you are (mostly)free to do what you want.
It's like a combination of Elite, Minecraft, Spore and the Mandelbrot-Set!  :D

An interesting article about it:

gotta love the animal mutations on pic 5..

Now combine that with oculus rift and I'm done with real life.. ;)

edit: and a bit more on how its done:

I'd be astonished if that game didn't go for support for the Rift. You should look for new things to add to your life checklist ;)
