Title: Another new plugin
Post by: simon.snake on July 24, 2014, 12:57:19 PM
As mentioned in my recent gallery upload (here (http://www.fractalforums.com/index.php?topic=19677.msg75634#msg75634)) I thought this fractal would be a great candidate to be converted into Fractal eXtreme.

Well, I have started this huge undertaking, and here to tempt you is the low precision section of said plugin for 64-bit Fx only (it will go blank around 43 zooms in).

http://www.needanother.co.uk/uploads/Simon142.dll (http://www.needanother.co.uk/uploads/Simon142.dll)

Hope this gives you a taster of what to expect, but bear in mind it is quite slow and the high precision side of it will probably be slower than watching paint dry.

I'm not going to provide a screen shot, as it is just like the picture(s) in the gallery post.

I think the multiple powers is cool, but link is broken... :(

Try again, don't know why it wasn't there but it has been re-uploaded.

Watch out, Fractal eXtreme sometimes has problems with my plugins, they can cause it to crash.  Also, I've only completed the low precision part of the plugin, so it will go blank around zoom level 43.

Usually, I ask panzerboy nicely to recompile the plugins, and that stops them from crashing.  It's something to do with the way I incorporated 64-bit compiling into the free compiler, and some of the settings being a bit different, but I've not narrowed it down yet.
