Title: Slices of the mandelbulb
Post by: TruthSerum on June 30, 2014, 11:20:12 PM
Made these for my own use. Might be interesting to you too.

Parameters: exponent = 12, iteration count = 3, DE step-size = 0.5 with 128 iterations/refinements

1) f(c) in the x = 0 plane
2) f'(c) in the x = 0 plane
3) f(c) / f'(c) in the x = 0 plane
(in the above black is zero, tends to white as distance increases away from zero)

4) f(c) for a ray shot through the center of the bulb [s + x*(0,0,1)]
5) f'(c) for a ray shot through the center of the bulb [s + x*(0,0,1)]
6) f(c) / f'(c) for a ray shot through the center of the bulb [s + x*(0,0,1)]
(in the above the horizontal line running through the center of the image is zero)
