Title: Burning ship zoom - Footprints on ice crystals Post by: youhn on June 15, 2014, 02:50:12 PM Quote Thanks to Karl Runmo for programming Kalles Fraktaler. Deep zoom on the Burning Ship fractal with slight color cycling. But now I see some jumps in the coloring. Not as disturbing as the zoom-jumps, since the flow of shapes is not really broken. Still I wonder how these color jumps came to be. When using the Kalles Fraktaler Key Frames Movie Maker, I always use only 1 setting for Speed control, Color cycle control and Color division control. Hope you all enjoy the stripes in the palette, which was added to give more focus on visualising the color cycling. The jumps might come from the offset being normalized in order to not have negative iteration values. I will have a look... But too much complextro violate copyrights...

I suspect it has something to do with either setting the color division control below 1 or this combined with negative color-cycling. Maybe a roundoff error, just a hunch though. I'm now rendering a movie which has even more frequent jumps/shifts of the color palette. SeryZone, thanks for the compliment and tip. I was thinking about using my own music on the zoomvids, but then I first have to write/record some more music. Ultimate goal will be to compose a zoom vid based on (or intertwined with) the music creation. Our french non-forum fractal friend Yann is heavily exploiting fractional division and negative cycling in this movie http://www.fractalforums.com/movies-showcase-(rate-my-movie)/my-reward/msg74928/ But he is maybe using his own key frame assembling program though. |
