Title: Collection of BuddhaBrot-like Videos Post by: JohnDoe77 on June 05, 2014, 10:23:26 PM Playlist: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLAJHB0kkAm-KVkcN8S-YB7Kzk4dI52YAF
What I consider the best one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OnIivdb2m9U&index=3&list=PLAJHB0kkAm-KVkcN8S-YB7Kzk4dI52YAF These images were rendered like normal BuddhaBrots. Key differences: Different formulas were used. The formula is in the title of the video. Sampling was constrained to a thin strip which moves across the screen. Samples are taken only from this strip, not the entire screen. They're fairly fast to render. On my GTX 650 Ti, all of these videos rendered overnight. On a better GPU, they'd go much faster. Inspired by this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OuuO49aBoT4&list=PL32241C599993770B To do: MUSIC! Needed badly. Like normal BuddhaBrots, these can be moved in 4D space. Not yet implemented. Interpolation between fractals, like with flames. Optimization. It's plenty fast, but could be faster. OpenCL version. Right now, it's only CUDA. Hope you enjoy! And would love to do the music - have a listen to place 2&3 of this years short films: http://www.fractalforums.com/7th-annual-fractal-art-competition-2014/competition-2014-short-film-results/ ps: to bead, the playlist doesn't exist. I'd love to see "the best one" |
