Title: Submit your fractal art-related site to the DMOZ Fractal Art page
Post by: AbstractVisionaryArt on June 03, 2014, 09:25:44 AM
I am the editor of the Fractal Art and Sacred Geometry pages on the Open Directory, the oldest and most valuable directory on the internet. Submit your site for increased traffic and a PR4 dofollow backlink.

Would it be out of line to suggest a link to here on those pages since we've got your links on this site?

Thanks.

It's the oldest surviving website directory, started in the late 1990s as the "open directory project". Links from the directory are highly beneficial for search engine rankings as well as direct traffic, but since there is only one editor per category it is often difficult to get listed.

Each site can only be listed once in the directory.

I knew it sounded familiar!

Each site can only be listed once in the directory.

I didn't know that.

I was just following the "Sites Listed Must Have A Backlink" Rule and not really paying much attention to the sites actual content  (Literally just opened the page and searched for the word "forum" then closed it without reading anything  :blindfold:

i never understood this project, it might have some usefulness in the late 90s when search engines where fighting and before the internet had developed the use in the way we use it today

so, beside i personally think such a project is of no use nowadays, do you actually provide a link-checking !? nearly every third link on the directory pages lead to non existing links, so what sense does such a project has if it is not checked automatically to mark links as inactive ???
