There are a few spacefilling regions in the image, but many emptyish areas and minibrots. Both critical points are studied. For the orbit of each, |zi| is averaged over the orbit, the logarithm taken, and the result used to index into a smooth color gradient. The colors for each C.P. orbit are then combined by addition of their HSL components to get the final pixel color. This image is a zoom, with altered coloring, into "Intersections in Complex Space", in the latter's top-center region, by a factor of about five. Some further zooms from here that are spacefilling will be forthcoming. |
