The lowest iteration in this image is several million and the highest over 90 billion. I hope you've all enjoyed this trip. It's probably the last deep-zoomed series I'll do without perturbation. I admit that 90 billion trick is alluring. No doubt I should have a close look at how iterations develop from one period run to the next. It seems you can predict the results well enough to skip over many runs till things enter a critical stage. But I suspect your palette's density decrease as it goes deeper, maybe logarithmically? Because otherwise the spirals close to the minibrot would be only noisy? I started with black and white because it pays off immediately. Colour is easy to do really badly, harder to do well, and even harder to do very well. Maybe I'll have something worthwhile for the competition till the end of the month. Creativity has been drowning in technical issues for some time now. Need first that corruption busting to work (reasonably) fast and with all regions reliably. Then I can create again without distractions. :banana:

But there is a slow-wave that biases the colors to darker orange and then brighter yellow that has a very long period (tens of millions of iterations) and is logarithmic to boot, which I used to bring contrast to the features around the minibrot. If you zoomed one of the orange filaments you'd find very fine details still, seahorses, columns, other shapes, even the little whiskers from the original big minibrot early in the zoom. |
